“Whoever you are - I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.”

In the oppressive heat of a New Orleans summer, faded Southern belle Blanche DuBois turns up unannounced at the shabby apartment of her sister Stella. Wrapped up in stories of her glamorous past and terrified of the future, Blanche sets herself on a violent collision course with Stella’s brutish husband Stanley. Reality and make-believe start to blur as Blanche’s fragile world crumbles around her.

Williams' most popular work, A Streetcar Named Desire is one of the most critically acclaimed plays of the twentieth century. 76 years since its Broadway debut, this drama of desire, delusion and mental illness has lost none of its ferocious power or passion.
